We are happy to invite you to the pop-up exhibition “Architecture in Libya then and now”. The opening will be on Tuesday the 14th of August at 5.30 pm in the gallery “Le15” at 15, Avenue de Carthage, Tunis.
The image of Libya in the media is often limited to very few aspects.
In the framework of the project “Architecture in Libya then and now – A photographic approach” young Libyans interested in cultural exchange worked on how architecture affects their lives and were encouraged to try out new approaches, under the direction of the experts Jens Ullrich from Germany and Samuel Gratacap from France. The results of the workshop presented in the pop-up exhibition will give you the opportunity to see a more diverse image of Libya, through the lense of Libyan photographers.
The project “Architecture in Libya then and now – A photographical approach” is a cooperation of the Goethe-Institut and the Institut français financed by the Franco-German Cultural Fund. It aims to contribute to the professionalization of the Libyan cultural scene and to show a diverse image of the country.
*The exhibition will be open until the 18th of August 2018, each day from 11am-6pm.
