The coronavirus outbreak has jolted markets, disrupted supply chains and caused significant uncertainty for business decision makers around the world. Businesses and SMEs around the world have been highly impacted by the virus and are finding ways to adapt to the difficulties they are facing.
In this webinar, Dr. Lara Macaron Sabbouri, LLWB board member and economic and financial expert, will discuss how the spread of the virus is affecting local and global economies, as well as business operations, as organisations struggle to navigate uncertainty. Dr. Macaron will present the Knowledge economy as a solution to mitigate and minimize this disruption.

The Association of German Women Entrepreneurs (VdU) and Global Project Partners (GPP), together with women’s business associations in the MENA region, have launched the Women in Business cooperation project to support (prospective) women entrepreneurs from the MENA region with expertise and a strong network in fulfilling their potential.
LLWB, founded in 2006, is a socio-economic, apolitical, non-religious association bringing together professional women and providing them with a platform for (1) Sharing Experiences, (2) Developing Competencies and Skills, (3) Establishing Networks and Exchanging Expertise, (4) Accessing funds and (5) Mentorship.
About Dr Lara Macaron Sabbouri
Dr. Lara Macaron Sabbouri is the founder of “Visions” for professional training and corporate coaching. She is currently a Business Consultant and an Associate Professor of Finance at several universities in Lebanon. Her experience includes working at top-notch Lebanese banks for 15 years.
She holds a PhD in Business Administration from the Lebanese University and a Master’s degree in Finance from ESA Business School (Lebanon) and ESCP Europe (France). Her teaching revolves around Banking and Finance and Knowledge Economy, and her research revolves around Knowledge Economy and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). She is the author of a book “CSR in Lebanese Commercial Banks”, and several publications in international journals.
A good communicator and public speaker, she has successfully participated in numerous workshops and conferences, TV and radio interviews. Receiving a certificate in Economic Development and Entrepreneurship from Ball State University – USA, and many other certificates in Banking Regulations and Anti-Money Laundering (CAMS), Sustainable Development, Women Empowerment, Life Skills, and Public Speaking. One of her core beliefs is that a life worth living is a life that is dedicated to being of service to others.
